CHALLENGE Answered – Where’s Carol?
I realize that not all readers are currently in daily agony as their baseball team anemically battles for the third wild card position. So, to be sensitive to the non-Reds fans, I will be quick and concise in answering the CHALLENGE.
All the relevant information is revealed in the second picture above. Carol was at the Cincinnati Reds’ Hall of Fame. Thus, the board was a very large tribute to the Hit King, Peter Edward Rose. Pete Rose broke the major league hit record of 4,192, then went on to set the new mark of 4,256. As I hope is obvious, there is one baseball for every one of Pete’s hits. Sadly, they are just random baseballs…not actually the real baseballs hit by Pete.
So ends the official answer to the CHALLENGE…have a wonderful day. PT

There was no way that I could publish this post without a few more pictures from the Reds Hall of Fame…
OK, enough shameless and selfish promotion of my team. Well, just one more thing…
That is my hand in the other Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York. It points to the spot on the wall where Peter Edward Rose belongs. FREE PETE!
