CHALLENGE #17 – ANSWERED – Where is Carol Merrill
Given the timing, I have a feeling this CHALLENGE may be a bit too easy. Fear not, if that proves to be the case, I promise to make the next one extremely difficult. No fancy twists to this CHALLENGE. Carol seems quite focused in her authentic baby seal vest, but more importantly…
Where is Carol Merrill?

I did not want to let September go by without recognizing that tragic day back on September 11, 2001. And, as a couple of you knew, the location of this CHALLENGE is at the National 9/11 Memorial and Museum in New York City. Carol is looking at a massive steel girder from the World Trade Center. The collapse of the building easily twisting up the thick metal. For the record, PugsleyTonks is not prone to a lot of emotion. But, apparently there are limits to my frigid façade. I was no match for the emotional impact of this museum. With no close second, this is easily the most effected I have ever been for any memorial that I have attended. If you are willing to brave New York City for a visit, I highly recommend that you find time for a half day in this museum. Powerful stuff

The “Last Column”…the last piece of metal removed from the WTC destruction. It marked the official end of the clean up and recovery effort. The markings are a tribute to the First Responders that died in the tragedy. PAPD 37 = Port Authority Police Department 37 heroes lost
