Traveling with PugsleyTonks

Traveling with PugsleyTonks is about the pursuit of that little slice of Americana. It's not big name or high-cost tourism. PugsleyTonks likes to find that little known tourist trap…that diamond in the rough attraction…the hole in the wall restaurant…or the special dive bar serving PBR. So, please come and join me in my search for Americana. All are welcome and its really just good, clean travel fun. PT

CHALLENGE

CHALLENGE #27 – ANSWERED – Where is Carol?

Good day all. I am sure your March Madness brackets have been blown up. But, hey, cheer up. Spring is in the air. Opening Day for baseball season is about to happen. And, most importantly, I offer up this CHALLENGE to bring joy to your day.

This is a fairly straight forward CHALLENGE. A nice walk about on a pleasant day in one of the more tolerable southern cities. Its pretty hard to not appreciate the beauty of a town when a river and waterfall cuts right through it.

So…..WHERE IS CAROL?

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

OK, OK, OK…I guess this one was way too easy. My bad. I will do better in the future. To confirm what many of you already knew, Carol is in Greenville, South Carolina. But, to do the location real justice, Carol is at Falls Park on the Reedy in Greenville, SC.

Falls Park on the Reedy is an outstanding 32 acre park in the middle of Greenville. The Reedy river runs through the park. The beauty of the park consists of water falls, walking paths, bridges, gardens, and plenty of places to relax and enjoy the scenery. The park was built in 2004. And, in my most humble of opinion, this park and the vibrant downtown life make Greenville easily the best non-coastal city to visit in South Carolina. Here are a few other pictures of our stop in Falls Park on the Reedy…

Have a good day! PT

I saw where you and Carol had lunch in a horse stall. Would you have ventured from there to a “Green” city in South Carolina?
