Improving my Approach

When we learned that our daughter and son-in-law were having a baby, my beloved wife, Carol, and I were overjoyed for our first grandchild. Naturally, I told people about this coming event. However, I just told most people when next we talked. Sadly, this approach led to some people being missed. Surprisingly, some of these needy people were annoyed that it took weeks/months to get them the news. So, to improve my approach, please allow me to make this global announcement…

My first grandchild, Jacqueline MIchaeh Grimm was born a bit after noon on July 2, 2025. Mother and Jacqueline are doing well. My son-in-law, the unsung hero that oversaw the entire operation, is also recovering nicely.

I certainly recognize the importance of prenatal care. But, I am not really sure about all those sonogram pictures…

The first photo is 218 days prior to delivery. The doctors told my daughter it was human. So, we decided to take them at their word. The second photo was much farther along at D-Day minus 33 days. At this point, it definitely seemed human. But, its still a bit scary if you ask me. For my part, I prefer this third picture. It was taken one day prior to delivery…D-day minus 1 day.
