GUEST AUTHOR…who wants to try?
Its always been in the long term business plan that PugsleyTonks would one day share the reigns and let some guest authors have some fun too. As we are getting more and more shut in from the Coronavirus, the need for more entertainment ranks right up there with the need for more toilet paper and hand sanitizer. So, I say lets advance the business plan and give this a shot. Writing a guest post will hopefully be fun for the writer, and provide new posts to the readers. What say you? Are you literate? Do you have the willingness and courage to write for all to see???
Here are the rules…
- First submit a request describing the topic of your article. No format here…just tell me what you want to write about. I just want to make sure its in the spirit of the blog. Requests must be submitted to the official email on the home page (TravelingwithPT@gmail.com).
- As mentioned, the proposed post must be in the spirit of the blog…travel rated, but odd, unique, out of the way, that little slice of Americana, etc. If you have been reading some posts, I think you understand. Think “Hillbilly Hotdog”…not the wonderful and expensive 5 star restaurant where you and your spouse went on your anniversary.
- For now, I would like to keep this domestic…USA topics only. I have been focusing my travel and writing on rediscovering Americana…so lets keep it that way. EXCEPTION…International readers…I have been very proud to see that the blog has been read in 8 total countries so far. If you are an international reader…write about the odd, unique, out of the way site in your country. I would love to get an email from you.
- If we decide to move forward on your proposal, I will send you contributor access to the blog in order to write it. You must have at least 3 pictures to support your post. I will talk/email you through the minor details of using our platform. You must have an amusing pseudonym that identifies you as author.
- Assuming your post is published…make a little effort on your social media to spread the word about your guest post.
That’s it. Why not do something to help the Coronavirus shut-ins. Give them some entertainment. Send in your proposal now to TravelingwithPT.com PT
