The Basics of Festivus

For those of you that are sadly ignorant, I will give you the basics of Festivus. Festivus is a secular holiday designed as an alternative to the stress and commercialism of Christmas. Festivus falls on December 23. The key aspects of Festivus include:

1. The Festivus Pole – typically, an unadorned aluminum pole
2. The Airing of Grievances
3. Feats of Strength
4. Festivus Dinner

In the spirit of Festivus, I will air a Festivus grievance…

**Christmas Day is supposed to be 60 degrees…I could wimp out and spend winter in the south if I wanted that kind of crappy weather. Its Christmas…give me 30 degrees and a foot of snow**
