Happy National Beer Day
New Beer’s Eve
I’m sure this is an unnecessary reminder. But, to be sure, I wanted to issue this Quick Hitter post to remind you that tomorrow, April 7, is NATIONAL BEER DAY. Additionally, as I was refreshing my memory on the history of this great holiday, I ran across some new, critical information. The night before National Beer Day is officially considered “New Beer’s Eve.” Awesome!! Consequently, you do NOT have to wait until tomorrow to begin your holiday recognition. As the old saying goes…”its 5pm somewhere.” So, let the revelry begin. Raise a glass, preferably PBR, and begin your holiday celebration. HAPPY NATIONAL BEER DAY!

Educational Moment
Because I take my responsibility to educate, as well as entertain, very seriously, I want to also expand your National Beer Day knowledge. The date was April 7, 1933, in the dark and evil days of Prohibition. On that day, President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed the Cullen-Harrison Act into law. This act allowed for the LEGAL sales of beer. This opened the flood gates for the eventual repeal of all prohibition when the 21st Amendment ratified later that year. Thank you Franklin D. Roosevelt for the bravest and wisest action of your presidency.
In honor of Franklin D. Roosevelt and National Beer Day, enjoy a small sampling from my PBR picture gallery. Have a Happy National Beer Day. PT
